More than 300 teens attended a student athlete mental health summit on 02/19/26. San Diego Unified and student advisory council put on the inaugural event. The goal was to normalize the mental health conversation in sports, provide resources to deal with increasing pressure and anxiety, and eliminate the stigma of mental health issues. Thursday’s summit was a collaboration between the San Diego Unified School District and a student-led wellness committee.
